MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of Human Life Services is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community by meeting the spiritual, emotional and material needs of both the mother and child in a crisis pregnancy; and, by educating the public, to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLE

To accomplish its mission statement, Human Life Services shall operate by the following principles:

Human Life Services is a Christian outreach. Therefore, HLS, embodied in its volunteers, is committed to presenting the Gospel of our Lord to women in crisis pregnancies both in word and deed.

Human Life Services is committed to providing its clients with accurate and complete information about fetal development and abortion. Each client is recognized as a worthy person and will continue to receive support from Human Life Services regardless of the decision she has made.

Human Life Services is committed to integrity in dealing with clients earning their trust and providing promised information and services. Human Life Services denounces any form of deception in its corporate advertising or individual conversations with its clients.

Human Life Services is committed to assisting women throughout their pregnancies and thereafter by providing emotional support and practical assistance which typically cannot be obtained through other agencies.

Human Life Services shall not discriminate in providing services because of the race, creed, color, national origin, age or marital status of its clients.

Human Life Services never advises, provides, or refers for abortion or abortifacients.

Human Life Services offers assistance free of charge at all times.

Human Life Services is committed to creating awareness within the local community of the needs of pregnant women and of the fact that abortion only compounds human need rather than resolving it.

Human Life Services will not engage in contraceptive counseling or in referring for contraceptives or contraceptive services. Married women seeking contraceptive information will be urged to seek counsel, along with their husbands, from their pastor and physician.

Human Life Services recognizes the validity of adoption as one alternative to abortion, but is not biased toward adoption when compared to the other life-saving alternative. Human Life Services is independent of any adoption agencies, relating to them in the same manner as to other helpful referral sources. Human Life Services receives no payment of any kind from these agencies, does not enter into contractual relationships with them, and does not share office space.
