Adoption—A Loving Option
You are pregnant—unexpectedly. Your baby’s heart is beating if you are more than three weeks pregnant. You are now a mother.
This may be a scary time for you. You have many important decisions to make for yourself and the life that is growing inside of you.
At Human Life Services, education is one of the many services that we offer. We want you to make a well-informed decision whether you choose to keep your baby, place your child into a loving home through adoption or prematurely end your pregnancy through abortion.
Sometimes the most responsible thing to do is to consider placing your baby for adoption. Adoption can be a loving alternative with a very positive outcome.
- The 2000 census reported that almost 2 million children in the United States live with adoptive parents.1
- A survey found that 60% of Americans have had personal experience with adoption, meaning that they themselves, a family member, or a close friend was adopted, had adopted a child or had placed a child for adoption.2
- About 120,000 are adopted in the US each year.3
- About 2,000 children are adopted in Pennsylvania each year.4
Today’s adoption process allows you to choose how much contact you wish to have with your baby. You can even have a say in who will raise and care for your child.
